Q. What is hypnotherapy?
A. Hypnotherapy is a very safe and effective proven method of creating positive changes using hypnosis to replace negative behaviors that no longer serve you that will promote your growth and success.
Q. What is hypnosis?
A. Hypnosis is a state of mind, in which the subconscious mind becomes highly suggestible.
Q. Will I do anything in a state of hypnosis against my will?
A. No. In order for hypnosis to be effective, you have to want and be willing to change your behaviors in a positive way. People cannot be forced to do something in hypnosis that they would not normally do. A hypnotist or hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything that you don’t want to do. Your subconscious mind will not accept suggestions that conflict with your beliefs, morals, or desires.
Q. Can anyone be hypnotized?
A. Since all hypnosis is self hypnosis, almost anyone willing to follow simple instructions can enter a hypnotic state.
Q. How does it feel to be hypnotized?
A. Most people feel very calm and relaxed. Generally, it feels like someone is talking to you with your eyes closed. It is a “sleep like” state and you are aware of what is going on around you. Often, clients have claimed, afterwards, that they felt like they had just taken a long nap…relaxed and refreshed.
Q.How many sessions are necessary?
A: It depends on the person and on the issues being dealt with. Every person and situation is different.
